Job Title & GC: Geological Specialist, GC11–14 Functional Job Title: Well Documentation Geoscientist Source: SMP Position Description: We are seeking an SMP to provide support in the planning and closeout phases of new Exploration wells in order to reduce workload on the main Exploration teams whose primary focus is generation of new prospects. We seek a qualified geoscientist to produce and manage key documentation associated with the well planning and delivery activities of Eastern Area Exploration Department. This work will involve working with Exploration Geoscientists and their immediately line management in the Department to identify and prioritize the production of key documents such as Well Proposals, approval letters and post-well evaluations in a timely manner. Requirements The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience. He or she will also have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in an operating hydrocarbon exploration company including a significant proportion of well planning experience. Excellent skills in producing professional-standard documents using MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel are required. Good spoken and written English is essential. Duties and Responsibilities Be fully aware of the well planning and review processes at Saudi Aramco. Know the latest drill schedule. Ensure that all wells have required documents in place in advance of deadlines. Avoid any delays in drill schedule due to documentation problems. Produce documents such as Well Proposals in a professional, consistent and timely manner. Ensure all documents follow Aramco format guidelines. .
